ABOUT ME

I am Candice Blake a recent graduate of multimedia journalism who lives in London. This documentary was made in the aftermath of the loss of a family member, hoping to highlight just how serious knife crime has become in this day and age. I have lived on a council estate all of my life and for me and people like me, it is very normal to hear about violent crimes and this is the most unfortunate thing. There should be nothing 'normal' about it

Damarie Roye was a year 11 student at the time focusing on becoming a music engineer and was unfortunately targeted due to being friends with a girl who had a jealous ex. 

It made me realise just how much change and action needs to be made. In support of families and relocating them to having opportunities so people land on the right paths or guide them from the wrong ones.
